I like seeing your Supercharger videos. It's possibly the most obscure add-on for a mainstream console. I don't think this could have ever been as popular as Nintendo's Famicom Disc System in Japan but there are parallels; enhancing the base hardware capability, a less costly format to release, the potential of piracy. The main difference was that Nintendo entirely switched production to disc games in Japan. Supercharger tapes exist as a very obscure, third party format at the end of the 2600 life.
