It can definitely be finicky to work with. A few things to try if you haven't already: cut the striping tape just short of your cuticle area, sidewalls & free edge so it can be fully encapsulated with the next layer of gel poliah; put a layer of builder/thick gel polish on top of the striping tape and before top coat; don't use any striping tape that's come into contact with your skin (discard these bits as the adhesive will be weaker) ; flatten the striping tape against your nail firmly with a tool (silicone tool, orange wood stick), discard any bits that aren't laying flat. Hi Renata 😊 I wouldn't use your finger as you'll be exposing your skin to the gel inhibition layer and that can lead to allergies for some people. I agree with you re the furries left behind by cotton balls and pads, it's so annoying. I use the NSI Nail Wipes, as they're pre cut to a good size and genuinely lint free. If I run out, I use kitchen towel / paper towel until I get to restock. That is also lint free (at least it is here, not sure about where you are). It's a cheap option worth a try 😊 Otherwise Amazon would have some, just make sure you search for "lint free" 😊 💜💜
