2024 paper terrace dollar tree challenge
1. Everyone is welcome to join! The official series will begin March 1st 2024 and end March 15th. But you can play along at your own pace.
2. Create a journal using dollar tree items with a budget of $20 or less. Any type, theme is welcome!
3. Basic supplies and tools are excluded from budget. Scissors, glue, punches, or things you already have that aren’t the main part of your journal. If you are questioning using something jsut go for it. No stress. Have fun.
4. Watch my video series for inspiration but try out some fun techniques and get creative on your own. I will have secret giveaways in some of the videos and the very final video!
5. If you want to share videos or photos, I will add to my own playlist for everyone to watch!

Cool. I made my little signature trains. My dad died 3 1/2 years ago 2020 from COVID. He and I loved trains. He fixed a train to hang from the ceiling so we all could enjoy and grandkids couldn’t tear it up. So I put one in every JJ.

I love to see a butterfly land close by so I can admire their beauty! They are so beautiful! I also love this idea of making embellishments and ephemera with the actual tea bag papers. Very clever and creative! They all turned out so good! I have never made a junk journal before but I plan to, and I will try these out. ❤

Love what you did with the tea-bags. Their aged look appeals to me so much. Everyone loves butterflies. Its always a joy to see them fluttering about among the flowers during the Summer months. Yes they are! We lived in Mariposa, CA 45 years ago, and the Monarchs would just cover the bushes as they rested on their travels. I went back to visit a few years ago, and the numbers just weren't there. sad

I can't wait to try this technique. It really turned out well. My Moms favorite thing was butterflies. She would spend whoke days fussy cutting out butterfies from paper for us so we could keep them in our stash. I treasure them more that she's gone. TSMFS ❤xx

Thanks for some great tea bag ideas! I use butterflies because they mesh with the botanical themes I usually do and because they are so ubiquitous in crafting supplies. I am partially planning my journal around some DollarTree butterfly stickers I've had for several years.
