I've had the Ryobi ONE+ 18V Cordless 1 Gallon Portable Air Compressor for about a month, and I've used it for basic things around the garage.
The other day, I noticed the tires on the vette looked a little low, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to test out the Ryobi, and see if it was able to handle larger tasks like airing up car tires.

The not needing to find a wall socket or extension cord is great, the lack of stored air before needing to recharge itself is not so great. But for the average joe homeowner, this compressor should suffice for 18 gauge nail guns.

Agreed, while having the battery allows the versatility of using it wherever you need to, it is offset by its lack of air volume capacity. But, for the majority of people, that won't be too big of a drawback

Nice to see you got a compressor to help with your lift, you have now lost the crown of "being the only person in the world who has a lift but no air compressor". lol Thanks for sharing.

You should be able to set the psi you want on the outlet and it’ll match it the knob actually has a pressure valve release built it so it doesn’t go over

That's what I noticed, it didn't really have much of a change on either direction of adjustment. I figured it was more ornamental than anything. LOL

Rob, so whats the deal with the air locks? they work properly when they have the right pressure, or still dont work right when air pressure is up?

I have to use this small compressor to charge the air bottle if it's been more than 24 hours since using the lift. Definitely not making it the 24 months that it's rated to hold air. 😆 Once the system is charged, it will works as it should. I just put up a short of me using the small compressor on the lift. I'm going to do a longer video explaining what all it requires, and what's the current status on everything lift related.

Hey bud nice video , Can I ask you some questions please ? I've just bought one of these unit's & the necessary air hose pipe + air gun . I'm wondering did you have to tape up or seal in some way , all threaded join's on you're hose fittings ??? After setting everything up on my unit there's hissing air coming from the thread that connects the hose into the gun ...☹️ Was thinking do I have some faulty hose fittings... ? Or do I need to do some thread taping in order to make completely air tight ? Can you shed some light ? Thanks ...

I've come to the opinion awhile back, that even if a manufacturer says no thread tape required, it needs tread tape. LOL. I noticed the Ryobi fittings leaked air without the tape. Once I taped them, the air leaks stopped.
