I never thought I would see the day in which someone had to teach students how to use a portable cassette recorder. One day, LP vinyl records just may become historical artifacts.

When I bought a record player my daughter assumed the sound would come out of the player itself. I had to explain that it doesn't do that and that you had to connect it to the stereo

In those years, children only one year old understood directly how to use a cassette recorder. Students of today must be teached on this.

Todavía me acuerdo cuando poníamos un radiocasete enfrente de otro para copiar una cinta, y el que tenía un radiocasete de doble pletina era el amo del barrio. Que tiempos😂😂😂

Would love an in depth overview or tutorial in how the player works ! I mean the electronics inside ! Especially the record and transmit data in preference to record and play audio ! The way it handles data is different than simple audio !

Something about that unit was making A LOT of noise the ticking sound and when you played it back it sounded like the drive motor inside was sitting on the microphone... as I understand it (in most cases is better to use an external microphone if at all possible

Can we record an MP3 file in the cassette without the external mic? With Y adapter cable or something between a PC and the tape recorder? It would be for getting more pretty sound :) if it's not possible with this recorder, can you suggest another one?
@llamafrhd3 жыл бұрын
You can’t get a better sound from mp3. 320kbs is 20mhz and clear sound is 22mhz. You can’t generate the lost information. (You can and I know how but it’s advanced) if you want to hook it up just run a 3.5mm audio jack from the headphones jack of the computer into the external mic jack of the recorder but it’s not going to make it sound any better. If you want true audio from a cassette use a professional type s cassette type 3 and record it from an analog or lossless source with a Dolby s cassette deck
@Zawmbbeh Жыл бұрын
Most cassette decks have RCA (Red/White cables) input that you can plug into with an RCA - to - 3.5mm adapter, which you could pop anything with 3.5 output into, including directly to your computer or phone to play audio through into it. Some cassette recorders (not the same as decks) will have 3.5mm AUX/MIC ports, which should function similarly, but I can't say for certain it'll give a clear or stereo signal, since mine doesn't.

How much mins can a tape recorder hold
@darinb.32734 жыл бұрын
That varies you can get a wide range of recording time (example a 60 minute tape) it is actually 30 minutes on each side Google "cassette tape length"
@llamafrhd3 жыл бұрын
The length of the cassette/2 on each side
@Zawmbbeh Жыл бұрын
Each tape has a number on it that (usually) signifies the runtime of the cassette in total (you can calculate per side by doing that number divided by 2). Sometimes cassettes will have an extra bit of time at the end (depending on manufacturer) and sometimes you might end up with less. The best way to find out is by recording the output directly into a computer and timing when the noise/audio starts and stops.

What do you do if you mess up?! Is there any way to delete it and redo it or?!
@JuanGallardoTeruel7 жыл бұрын
Frida Tavira, just rewind and record on top of the previous recording.

or use a magnet so you don’t have to do that I know it works on feral tapes I have valuable stuff on metal tapes so I don’t know about metal tapes though
@beybrain7896 Жыл бұрын
I guess I can't record on cassette tapes that were released by music artists since the record button won't let me press it to record.
@JuanGallardoTeruel Жыл бұрын
You can, you just have to put tape over the little square shaped holes on the edge opposite to the side where the tape is visible.
@Zawmbbeh Жыл бұрын
Above reply is the solution, but the inverse is true if you find yourself using blank cassettes, and you don't want them overwritten. No Hole = Read / Write Hole = Read Only

how to delete it?
@MysteriousCreator4 жыл бұрын
Rewind the cassette to the minute/section you want to delete and re-record over that section
@llamafrhd3 жыл бұрын
Use a strong magnet over the tape. It should destroy the magnetism of the tape fairly easily
