The Tiling Live Path Effect is a very versatile and easy-to-use path effect that can give very interesting results. Today I show you the basics of how to use it!
Also, a viewer (‪@ysiegel5544‬ ) recently asked a question to which the answer is included within this video - How to create increasing/decreasing sized shapes that have the same distance apart from each other? The Tiling LPE can help! (14:27)

Thank you so much my friend. I think the Tiling LPE is massively underused most of the time. I am happy to show what it does. There are more LPE Tutorials to come. Watch this space 🙂

You are 100% correct. There are many ways to use that tool (Too many to go over in one video) so I suggest experimenting with the mode. Like I said in the video, the icons do a good job of explaining what they all do but experimentation will always be a great way to learn. Have fun my friend & #StayCreative

Hello, very nice tutorial. I am searching to make labels for my business. for labels, I would normally make a table and insert it into my label. I am new to Inkspace and cannot seem to find anything for label-making. Would appreciate some help. Thanks.

There are a few ways to do this. In the upcoming Inkscape 1.4 update, there will be a new grid that will make it far easier but for now, I will run you through how you could achieve this. I am presuming that you are using this as a template to print them at home. You could try adding a standard grid & changing the dimensions to the correct size if you are aware what size your labels are: Go to File> Document Properties. At the top of the new window select the Grids tab. Then select the Rectangular Grid option. Select the Grid Units option and then select the relevant measurement units you need eg CM for centimeters. In the Spacing value boxes, input the correct width (X) and height (Y). This will make each grid section the perfect size. Finally, if the boxes do not line up with the edge of the canvas, you can use the Origin value boxes to tweak the placement. I hope this helps, if not, you may have to use grid lines in conjunction with the measure tool but above is likely the easiest way. Let me know how you get on my friend & if I can help, I will 😁
