And even if true, they are only vulnerabilities and you need to put yourself at risks by using internet without firewall, adblocker and common sense...

@@seansingh4421 It is really only a terrible idea if you aren't using a firewall or going on sketchy websites, that's how you can actually get hacked in minutes. Edit: It also goes without saying that it is not good practice to make online transactions on Windows 7 these days either but I do recommend dualbooting Linux Mint if you ever need something else to work with and still want to keep Windows 7.

I had to finally move to 10 on my desktop, internet stuff was becoming impossible. But i mainly just use the desktop as a NAS, and its nice to have regular drivers instead of hacked in drivers to make it work.

Great video man, I am a Windows 7 enthusiast myself. Your recording seems to be very smooth on obs. How did you achive that? Every time I try to record it goes to 15-20 FPS on my 5700XT

The default settings in obs are really bad so you have to adjust them yourself, make sure to set the fps to 60, and put the bitrate at 4,500 for 1080p, (when I recorded this video I had the bitrate too low so the quality wasn't even that good lol)

Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) does provide versions that work on Win7 and provide most of the features of the updated version for Win10. It does appear that FF-ESR will not be updated for Win7 anymore, but the current version is fully compatible with HTML 5.0, latest SSL / security features. Microsoft Edge is also available for Win7 (not updated anymore) and since it is based on the Chromium Engine, it is a viable replacement for Google Chrome and works quite well!

Mobo : ASUS Prime Z390 Prime-P CPU: i5 9400F GPU: GTX 970 SSD: 870 EVO 1TB SSD I'm using the MSI AC905C wifi card, it's got native support for Windows 7. The Z390 Windows 10 ethernet driver also works on Windows 7, The Z390 Windows 10 audio driver also works on Windows 7!

it's usable if your computer's hardware is from before 2016, you have an antivirus installed that is still being supported and you don't use any piece of software newer than 2020 (except for anti-viruses and web browsers)

my hardware aside from the gpu is actually after 2016 (i5 9400F, Z390 P mobo, 870 EVO SSD) and it works flawlessly, the only thing that's before 2016 is the GTX 970

@@TheAikatsuFan well in that case then for sure, you might be able to find modified win 7 drivers on the win raid form for a modern laptop, but it’s much easier to find modern drivers for a desktop

Same here, I still use Windows 7 and dualbooted with Linux Mint too in case I really need it. I am also happy to say that I don't care how obsolete Windows 7 is either and it should be fine as long as you are using common sense. In simple terms, old ≠ unsafe exactly like most people think as long as you are not installing malware and as long as you are using a firewall.

Every browser no longer supports updates for Windows 7 how to fix it. The reason I still use Windows 7 is because it suits my computer's specs. while Windows 10 is too heavy on performance for my computer.

Firefox ESR still supports Windows 7, Supermium is also a chromium based browser, it's pretty much just Google Chrome but it still works on Windows 7

Idea: Using Windows Vista in 2024 Believe me, it's not as bad as you'd think it would be. Certainly easier than XP, but a bit rougher than 7.

I've never used Vista aside from a VM, and because of my hardware it'd definitley be a pain to get it installed, if you're using it yourself then it wouldn't be a bad video idea for your own channel!

I changed the home screen on firefox to this link oldgoogle.neocities.org/2010/ I also have an extension called new tab override, so everytime I open a new tab, it automatically opens the old google search bar.

I am trying to dual boot it maybe with Linux I am done with forced End of Life if Microsoft wants to be unrealistic about supporting the same system I can remain on the SAME Linux based Operating System for YEARS with updates provided by the distro and remain just as secure as Windows if not better. If Microsoft wants to cry about money why don't they remake Windows 7 instead of forcing TPM2.0 on people who can't even afford a computer due to inflation and price hiking? These companies want us to buy their products but they sure enjoy price hiking the hell out of things news flash price hiking makes things worse no way am I upgrading to Windows 11 I want Microsoft to PAY for my upgrade BTW Windows 7 still remains king. I was gonna make my SSD Card into a Windows 7 for now these illegal mandates deprecating older Operating Systems that still work need to stop. You can thump your policy on me all you want you aren't god you don't own people's computer like you think you do and I just think policy writers are corrupt in the head in general I want Windows 7 back now man I've had enough of this modern gimmick.

@@futuristicentity2417 windows 7 lives forever, don’t plan on stopping it anytime soon even though I’m running it on hardware very well capable of windows 11! There’s so many communities of ppl who use windows 7 and even vista/xp, and all of us are doing just fine! The price for a copy of W11 is ridiculous let alone the system requirements, why use it when windows 7 and most Linux distros will work just fine on older hardware?!
