As an Operations Specialist from 71-74, I did all that - scope, DRT, maneuvering board, status plot, radio comms, etc. Thanks for the memories!

Did this aboard Forrestal from 71-74 using early versions of NTDS. Never a dull moment - until the midwatch that is!

This is great. I did this 90-94. So much fun. Way better than most jobs on a ship. Spent a lot of time in the Mediterranean and we always had a.c. to keep the equipment cool.

Dec. 1981 Graduate, ranked 3rd in my class and picked orders to USS MacDonough DDG-39 out of Charleston SC (1981-1985) with the Naval Tactical Data System (NTDS) on which I first qualified as a Track Supervisor.

Yeah, as a former OS I'm gonna have to call BS on adjusting gunfire using radar. LOL
