This year, Area One was held in a brand new range built by Giordano Ventures down in Winnemucca, Nevada. To tell the truth, when I first heard of this place, I was skeptical that it would be a good match, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm so glad I was wrong.
The team built this range specifically for multi-bay matches and the layout is just super effective. There were so much parking space and the bays were built around the parking area, which means competitors don't have to walk far to get to their assigned bays. There were 15 bays in total with space to build 6 more. (if I'm not mistaken)
There's also a huge practice bay that's not considered part of the match, so as long as you're safe and courteous to those around you, you can do what you want.
I think the team deserves some recognition for putting this match up. I know they'd want to take a break for a bit, but I'll definitely be back to this range again someday soon when they're ready to host another major.
