The tarana is just fabulous. IN my opinion there are ony 2 living exponents of tarana - Ustad Rashid Kahn and Malini Rajurkar. After all he is the grandson of Vilayat Khan - one of the best ever tarana exponents of his time.

Satish Joglekar as per my knowledge he is the grandson of ustad Nissar Hussain Khan sahib. Who was great Tara a exponent.

For me Hindustani Classical Music begins and ends with Ustad Rashid Khan and he permeates everything in between. The first touch of " Sa " forces everything else into oblivion
