one clip is when zakir sahab was mid 30 of age and pick time of his career,,,and another is tari sahab of 68 years old in this age he was playing this concert for 2.2 hours,, its verrrrryyyy hard to play a tabla with that potential when someone willl go above 65,, zakir hussain sahab is my favourite but its the fact if tari sahab belongs to india then he had so much opportunities in terms of western education commercialisation may be tv ad like zakir ji then it will be a great challange for zakir sahab and all other tabla players of same generation in terms of panjab gharana..tari ji shound be more active in western world but he was not.. and the cool thing is they both are same gharana but for zakir ji it was so many opportunities to be a son of great ustad all rakha sahab and zzakir sahab had the chance to go to every gharana like banarasi delhi farukabad etc...but in pakistan may be there are also different types of tabla player but the main gharana is panjab. so it was not easy for tari ji to come india and go to every ghara and learn them though he played delhi sometimes...its our good luck that we are in a time to witness both of them playing..

I am Indian, and never knew about Tari khan saab untill very recently. at first impression, I thought of him as a good for nothing banda showing off. But when I saw his some performanes on youtube. OMG. In my opinion, he is the best. Ustad Tari Khan is the greatest.

Both Zakirji and Tari sahab are icons. Both have their own style and strengths, In terms of laykari, peshkaars , versatility in solo playing exhibiting different gharanas accompaniment for instrumental & Dance, I feel Zakirji has an edge . For accompaniment of Ghazals, Tari sahab is just awesome and incomparable. Both R living legends and shouldn't be compared. Must appreciate that Tariji didnt have the advantage of being a son of an Ustad like Zakirji. Tariji's tonal quality definitely has an edge. Zakirji's tonal quality off late is different from his younger days. Nowadays he plays with a tighter baya. Prayers to God to bless both these legends with a very healthy and long life 🙏🙏👏 Would be a dream come true to witness both these wizards perform together in a concert.

Both are legends and legends are rarely born,both are pride of this planet beyond boundaries.

Zakir Hussain is a Solo player. Reminds me of foot ball players who perform tricks before and after the match but who never play in the match as a player and perform badly in group. I have seen Zakir Hussain clips where he did not perform well in sangat. Ustad Tari on the other hand is a player who played with great Ustads and Gawayyas and proved to be the best tabla player in sangat.

ustad Tari Khan hands very sweet and clean. ustad Zakir Hossain great solo tabla player.

Bhai sahab i have listened tabla of Zain rashid....you should give videos of him and promote gold standard talent of him. He is the best young generation tabla player of Pakistan i felt recently.
