The verse is very clear, silence here means Jesus was oppressed and afflicted by the Roman's authority but never opened his mouth that he was never a son of God or by extension God himself, in the gospel of John he spoke to confirm his position as son of God. Accept Jesus Christ today. Thanks !!!

NIV:He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

This verse is very clear, silence here means, Jesus was oppressed and afflicted by the Roman's authority but never denied of being the son of God by extension God himself, not that he didn't talk but never said he was just a common prophet. Come to Jesus today. thanks !!!
