Some of Usyk’s interviews in the lead up to the fight were filled with cheeky irony - it’s hard to catch, but it’s there. Every time he looked into the camera and called Joshua “a very good boxer” and “a superstar” and then smiled

Usyk has one of the highest IQs of any boxer I have ever seen. The adjustments he was able to make and get the win despite all the physical disadvantages was unbelievable

@@eliteboxinghd5659 Fury is very intelligent and skilled, and also knows how to use his natural gifts (mainly size)- I think Usyk has more mental strength and resolve - and I think Fury is aware enough to recognize it. I actually think that Usyk might be the only guy that can get inside Fury’s head - just by the way he carries himself with his devotion to God and family.

@@smirking8457 but I think usyk as good as he is might struggle with furys height 6inchs taller fury tends to lean his head backwards in defence but that won't be the main reason I think fury will know not to box this guy and just go in there clinch it up work uysk up against the ropes and just go full heavy on the usyk. Its just a question can usyk dodge that fury will know how to make the ring look smaller and know exactly what to do

@@gabemore1766 was thinking the same, but now I'm not so sure. Usyk would have fought numerous fighters who are taller, rangier and like to tangle you up on the inside. I imagine he would be prepared for exactly that type of fight against fury if they ever fight.

@@namc6419 I don't know will be a interesting one but I don't think it will be a boxing match like what AJ tried to do fury said it himself he's the bigger man in there use it. I see fury clinching him pushing him towards the robes then Canon fodder and keep pressing not what aj did back off when he hit usyk. You can train with bigger fighters but fury will want those belts also

Usyk has very fast hands when he is ready to throw them... then sometimes he throws slow lefts and jabs and then back to fast hands again. He also makes himself look very tired during the mid rounds thereby fooling his opponent and then comes back to jump on his opponent with a sudden burst of energy and power in the last 2 to 3 rounds. This is brilliant.... Ive never seen a boxer like him... he is so smart

An incredible thing about Ukranians is that they all grow up learning 2 languages, that being Russiand Ukranian. While Ukranian and Russian sound similar, it‘s not exactly understandable for Russians. I know Russian and only understand every 3-4 word

Not all Ukrainians learn both Ukrainian and Russian. While almost every Ukrainian speaks Russian, I know many Ukrainians who only speak Russian. It's very common especially among younger generation to not actually know Ukrainian.

i liked how the camerawork during the fight made it look more like tekken the video game rather than an actual boxing match.. Personally i prefer events held in the us. no fanfare, the fighters walk into the ring and things get going quickly. The promoters treat both fighters equally in the buildup. Fans want to see action inside the ring not outside.

Caught AJ as he was coming in, in the rematch I'm afraid much of the same will happen. Sad to see AJ lose his belts but Usyk deserved the win. This was a great fight to watch, the skill of Usyk can't be denied.

@@fava7753 no I wasn’t USYK won comfortably, but it weren’t no 12 rounds. And it wasn’t Joshuas best performance. USYK barley beat Chisora, if AJ stuck it on him like everyone thought he would, it would have been a better fight. All credit to USYK he did Joshua proper, but his face still looked beat up and AJ did that losing most rounds apart from a few in the middle.

@@jdsilva7884 Aj has lost his fire , no disrespect to him , but , after the first Ruiz fight , which he lost . That one fight has made AJ very , even , too cautious , in the ring now . A spell with a different coach would , maybe , bring him back up to the level he once was .. his coach in the Usyk fight was telling AJ he was doing really well , misinformed his man just to keep him going . When in all reality , he should have been telling him to up his fight. . This was partly to blame . . Lesser of two evils , which a really good coach doesn't do , Ie misinform , . As I said previously no disrespect . Hope he goes into the rematch with a new better mindset . . Best wishes to AJ for his future fights . .
