Utah Moose Hunt | Once in a lifetime

Headed out to the Uinta Mountains to hunt with my father-in-law for his once in a lifetime moose. What an amazing time going into the backcountry for a hunt. 23 years of waiting for this tag and he finally drew it.

Congrats to your dad. That is the best feeling in the world to be able to experience that with family. Good Job! I too guided my dad on an elk hunt this year and had the same feeling happen to us, good job

Which hunt area was this? I just drew a tag up in the Uintas for the North Slope/ Three Corners area. Only had 8 points, so I’m super lucky! Hope to find a nice bull like this! Thanks for the video!

He was using a 300 RUM, I think nozler trophy grade 210 AccuBond.

Congratulations, but next time check your backstop, that bullet can do a lot of skipping on water

Backstop was checked. Yes there was a lake which can cause skipping but the other side of the lake is a 500+ foot cliff as a backstop. Also we had guys watching this bull before we got to it to take the shot and and had said no one is on the opposite side. Thanks for watching!
