If you're looking for a unique front gearing option, the Schlumpf Mountain Drive and High Speed Drive are some excellent options. Installation can be a little tricky as it requires chamfering your boom. Stick with Lewis while he walks you through the process.

EXCELLENT! Very informative, detailed video, good job Louis.I have seen multiple explanations of this installation but none of the others mentioned the 41mm requirement on the chamfer or the alignment of the grooves on that driveside washer. Thank You for an excellent video

Funny I have been running a schlumpf on a racing bent for about 10 years, never chamfered anything and tightened the lock nut with channell-locks, zero slippage...ever.

Great video. I’d just add some cutting fluid when doing the chamfering so to not wear the tools out and improve the cut.

Hello Utah Trikes, Could you explain the correct process to grease the Schlumpf Speed drive?

Do you offer chamfering service for local clients who want to do the rest of the installation themselves?

Could do with some cutting fluid pal, you did say the tool was pricey.

Why did Lewis utilize no grease on the drive and crank arm threads?

HOW WOULD YOU ADD MORE CHAIN RINGS TO GIVE MORE GEARS ON A MOUNTAIN UNIT ?

Where else can you get one of those chamfering tools, it says it’s out of stock on your website, so if I wanted to do this myself where could I buy one of those?

So the schlumpf itself is expensive ,🤔and then you have to buy a one time expensive tool to put it in😳🤦‍♂️

Most people will send their bottom bracket in to have us so it or rent the tool.

*Lewis* and it's actually "umm errmm really umm erm." It would be a travesty for Lewis' eloquence to be misquoted.
Increíble final 😱
