Oklahoma fan here: We played UTEP in Week 1. That game wasn't even close, but UTEP still came at us with everything they had no matter how overmatched they were. Seven wins and a bowl bid isn't out of the question for the Miners this season.

Fun fact: UTEP lost to Oklahoma three weeks ago. So, Oklahoma has beaten a team that beat Boise State, technically making this an extremely convoluted role-reversal of the Fiesta Bowl, except not at all. It's just something I noticed at 2 am.

As a broncos fan, this hurts. I hate to see the team play (or not play at all) like they don't know what they are doing. Andy Avalos should not be a head coach. At least not at this level. He doesn't know what he's doing. 9-6 in two years. He has a winning record but barely. Not like it should be. I also think Hank Bachmeir needs to be benched. He has no confidence and looks like he doesn't know what he's doing. After Oregon State, they made him earn his spot back. Then the next week, the destroyed New Mexico. I think had they done the same thing, they'd be at least 3-1. Hank has a lot of potential, but is playing like a freshman that stepped on the fence for the first time in his life. Bench him, and make him earn his spot every week. Fire Avalos and bring in someone with experience. Even FCS experience. Just some head coaching experience. I'm losing hope in my team.

Same as last year, the Boise coaching staff failing to recognize the changes and adjustments needed during the game. They get down and the motivation just goes away, you can see in this video players giving up. UTEP played a hell of a game and BEAT the Broncos. Hard pill to swallow as a Boise State fan.
