Follow along with students at Universal Technical Institute as they share a behind-the-scenes look at what a day in trade school is really like. To learn more about the programs offered, visit bit.ly/3IvHDwJ.
This Day in the Life video was filmed in 2016. In response to the COVID pandemic, UTI now offers all of its lecture courses through distance learning only. Students attend hands-on lab training on campus in compliance with local and national COVID safety precautions, including mandatory masks.
UTI teamed up with students from its automotive/diesel, marine, and motorcycle mechanic programs to get a firsthand look at what goes on during a day of classes on campus. Using a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on learning, UTI teaches real-world skills that can help set graduates up for success.
Whether you’re seeking a future as an auto mechanic or a diesel technician, UTI can help prepare you for a career doing what you love. Training is available at 12 campuses nationwide:
• Avondale, Arizona
• Phoenix, Arizona
• Long Beach, California
• Rancho Cucamonga, California
• Sacramento, California
• Orlando, Florida
• Lisle, Illinois
• Bloomfield, New Jersey
• Mooresville, North Carolina
• Exton, Pennsylvania
• Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas
• Houston, Texas

@@jonomotive2000 Speaking from personal experience, I love my Job! Especially since I'm working with more advanced cars (Mercedes) You seem to speak out your butt. And the fact you responded so FAST, that's a little concerning. At the same time though, I wouldn't expect you to understand, all you know is condescending insults and sarcastic jokes, that fly out your mouth with no regard for anyone else but yourself so I'll leave you to that. 😁

I did a 2 year diploma in transportation technology in my area in Canada. I was hired as a Parts Advisor at a GM Dealership 2 months after graduation because I took a long deserving summer vacation for myself.

I was just thinking the same thing when I was at UTI half the people I knew where broke as hell and starving living in run down apartments Supplied by UTI. I feel like these are probably previous students portraying themselves as current students hired by uti to do this "day in the life" lol. What student has 2 boats or rides around on a nice sportster? And the other guy already has a job as a technician.. so why the hell is he going to uti? It's not even like he's a lube tech either he's a full fledged technician working at a shop at his own work bay. This video is so unrealistic.

No idea how you can have a trade school that only has 3 hours of total lab time every week just feeding ppl information with books and sitting down when the job is 95% hands on but 5% paper work. It 100% explains why the school is supper clean barley have students doing actual live work. When you go to a good school that does trades its usually filthy because of the students doing live work all the time during sessions make sure as a student you go to the school during a session dont do open house check out how it is during the day talk the teachers test there knowledge ask how long they been there ask if they are still in trade you want someone a teacher and tradesman.

Why is that guy going to uti if he's already an automotive technician?? Are these guys and gals already graduates and just here to make videos and have access to the school portraying themselves as current students? It's funny how theyre portraying them as having glamorous lives as students because when I was at UTI half the people there were broke as hell and starving lol. Dudes got 2 boats.. chicks riding a nice sportster.. and the one dude is already a technician why is he even at UTI?
