As a Dutchie Utrecht is one of my favourite cities for a daytrip. It's not as busy and hectic as Amsterdam. The inner city is a gem and nearby you find lovely parks. I also like Leiden, Delft, Haarlem, Maastricht, Deventer and Groningen. All beautiful cities with a lot of history and pretty scenery.

Thanks very much for a wonderful walk through Utrecht. Have flown through on NS Rail in the cab with the drivers but first time walking with you. I think I agree with others as to the peace, more than Amsterdam.

As foreign investor, i wish to purchase 1 plus 1 bedroom apartment until 100.000 euros in Utrecht because of its affordability. Do you advice me , can i settle in for 8 months then return back to Ankara Turkey and come back again for 8 months back to my house? Are there any Council tax and maintenance payment monthly ? İ am baptist christian and yearn for pork meat to eat that i cant find any in Turkey.

Utrecht has a huge Muslim population and one of the biggest mosques in the country. And as you can see, the city is still doing fine. What we don’t want there however, is people like you.
