No need. It's not that tough a trek that you can't manage on your own. Opting to go with travel organizers always entails higher cost of the trip. So, I think it's individual's choice.

Bike le ja sakte hain. Ghangriya tk aapko khane pine k options sab milenge. Apna saman aap le ja sakte ho. But valley of flowers trek me nahi kuch milega.

It is always safe. Valley of flowers is a monsoon trek anyway. Though best time is early September when you can find most flowers.

Yes. Monsoon trek hai toh expect rain. But it is safe. No floods in uttarakhand.

See, it is absolutely ok to travel directly to Rishikesh from Ghangriya BUT if it can be possible that depends on - 1. how much time you take to descend to Govindghat. 2. From Govindghat, will you be lucky enough to get a public transport. Usually, you don't get any transport from Govindghat because buses comes down from Badrinath and they are jam packed. So normally, you have to wait much.
