The real issue of why monster high generation three face so much backlash wasn’t because of themes it was trying to presented in the show. Like exploring different genders, sexuality, or disabilities. Or the focus being representation of LGBTQIA’s character’s. …… No, instead it was the changes they made towards the original version of those characters just to fit a narrative, but doesn’t actually paint a true statement. It inaccurate when come to characterization of those characters and at same time does the narrative they trying so hard to push terrible. Compare to previous generations one and two we see those characters going through different versions, but throughout the series they remain consistent without taken it to extreme or making the characters to appear unrecognized to their original self. They both go through changes thought out their time especially generation two but keeping the characters consistent was effective especially when they included some change. Regardless it was their personalities, appearances, relationships, and other factors. This approach allow change over not to come across unnatural to the characters or confusing toward the public that was familiar with the original. It didn’t come off abnormal compared to generation three approach. Instead they’re feels like a false narrative and make the characters to appear unusual and completely a different person with the same name attached to them. Compare to their original version. Again the previous self among the past generations that was felt more realistic towards franchise itself and consistent within the character originals form without painting a lie. Like in the previous versions starting from the original. Monsters high generation one is were we are first introduce to monsters high and explore all the characters within the franchise. From their personalities, traits, interests, disinterest, and relationships. Then generation two which continues franchise and take a different approach but still keep it consistent with while making a few changes toward the characters appearance and personalities. Both generations throughout series goes through changes but still kept their characters more consistent, regardless of appearance, personalities or relationships. Which makes there characters come of more natural and still connected to the franchise. Making generation three characters to come off being unrecognizable and complete stranger. I understand where generation three was going for within their approach. Focusing on different sexuality, genders, and disabilities but why not make whole new characters that fit that narrative while giving them a proper development at same time. Or if they wanted characters that already existed within monster high franchise then why not pick characters that actually fit the mode and tell it in a fun and interesting story. This would allow their character to have more screen time while expanding on their growth. I feel these two options would been a better approach for generations three if that what what they was going for. Instead it feel like they the chose the easy and the most lazy way out just with swapping different gender, sexuality and race. Failing to actually tell an an engaged story and not actually putting the work in. It like expected a A+ on your essay but you decided to copay an on internet or someone else. Instead of taking the time to put the work in it. Like how you expect good results if you didn’t actually put some effort in it. Again, it just lazy writing.

@@caramelfemale8022 It isn't lazy writing. You should watch it with an open mind. It took me over a year and a half to be able to overcome the fact that this is a reboot. Things are different for a new generation. Our Monster High still exists. Our Monster High has issues! And there are some things in this new Monster High that I'd like changed or addressed within the show. But after actually watching G3, I can honestly say it's not lazy writing. And with all the things they're addressing, it would've taken a lot of work and possibly a lot of passionate writers to make this show. It's genuinely a good show if you're able to give it a try.

No g3 is pretty bad they should have just made new characters because they made Claudine a unlikable dork and she looks ugly
