Whats wrong with a stock cage?

@@ehudamami5779 they're not overly strong. Anyone that runs their equipment hard replaces the cage. One solid flop and your cage will look like a pretzel.

@@shawndejong6699 I've literally flipped mine and the stock cage is still fine. Tweaked roof a bit and shock mounts, but still solid. Same dudes laughing at stock cage are the same ones buying aftermarket cages, but haven't touched the actual weak points like single-sheer A-Arms and front shock mounts. Running stock springs, shocks and pretending like they're Ken Block. I'll have 10k in upgrades in my car by the end of this month and still have the stock cage. Not because I don't want to, but there are plenty of other more useful upgrades before the cage is even needed. Polaris stock cages? Pretzel for sure.

@@umadbrew I'm gonna have to call BS. I've seen the X3s roll and the cage is 25 degrees slanted from what could be considered a minor incident. All the parts you've listed can be replaced over time and generally hold up to a certain degree. None of which keeps you alive during the worst few seconds of your life. Something to consider.

I'm with you Chad, if these dudes ever seen what the cage was made of they might think about changing it before adding all the other BS. These things have become jeeps now, just bolt on all the crap and now you're an "off roader" lol

I was thinking the same thing! And the car is clean. I didn’t see any signs of normal wear dust or anything. Sounds like a marketing pitch. No roll cage and all the accessories. Can’t be doing much riding not putting safety first!

I’ve got a tricked out X3 Max and a Turbo S. Not every body runs these things at the dunes and on full tilt. I’ll leave the driving like a complete moron out of it. I’ve seen one of these cars go down 100’ at Moab, as well as numerous other idiot maneuvers. An aftermarket cage is a good idea, but a stock cage will do its job. And let’s be honest, this really a factory demo vehicle.
