Was just at that exact spot today (know where the logging road is, and recognized the pine trees/embankment in the background). That firepit is now gone.

That's an Orb Weaver Spider, very common and no bother to humans.

Cool video but please get some tree straps you do harm to the trees without straps I'm up in the area all the time too

Thanks, I’ve actually purchased some spider poly tree straps from Dutch since this video, they work great. I spend a lot of time in the Uwharrie’s love it there!

@@davidlahaisejr7479 oh, gotcha. I have an old handbook with all the knots. I take short pieces of different cordage and tie them over and over until it's muscle memory. There's really only 3-4 I use for camping, truckers hitch, prusik knot, marlin spike, and square knots. Thanks!!
