Hi Ary, i love your videos, you really have a knack for explaining clearly and simply these UX methodologies 🌟 i wanted to ask you, following up your video on Sitemapping 101, at which stage do you usually start your card sorting tests ?

Thanks, appreciate the feedback! It’s one of those “it depends” answers, every project and situation is different and you need to make that call based on your project (how much knowledge you have about that specific business), its deadline and budget, but here’s guideline to help. If you’re starting from scratch with no sitemap or if the architecture is really broken: - Use this card sorting exercise before creating a sitemap (open, closed or mixed depending on your situation) in order to help guide your sitemap structure (the list of items I had in the sitemap video ideally should be a result of a card sorting exercise). If you already have a sitemap and you want to test if it works or if you want to add additional items or sections to that sitemap - Then running this exercise will help guide your decisions and gather some data for your hypothesis. Generally you can run this exercise when you need more data to back your hypothesis at the given time.
