You're a good person. I initially want to ignore this video and just think "I don't care about your life", although I watched quite a few of your videos. But this is actually a good example for a lot of people. One of my parent has a part-time job, take freelance work and sell stuff online. But my another parent has full time work. But still need to help a lot, delivering things that's sold, help picking up new products. People coming over to our home and trying out products. I think it's wrong and business should be separate from other family member. If it works only work with your family helping, it's not working.

This is such a smart move. One thing I had to learn as my online success grew was that after a bit you do need to release the people who helped you grow, often for nothing but their desire to see you succeed, and hire real professionals to do their job. Once you get to a certain level, it is far too much to ask someone to continue doing when it's not their job. Sometimes they want to continue doing it and you hire them (which is how I got one job I really enjoy), but most of the time it's just about setting them free and giving them a big thanks for all their help!

Huge advice for anyone watching this: Do NOT, EVER, hire family/close friends for ANYTHING official. A working relationship is not easy to balance with a personal relationship. It’s definitely possible, but it requires a type of compartmentalization of your feelings. It can damage your personal relationship, or vice versa. Both relationships thriving is very rare. Learn from this wise woman, she has some great insight on life!

At first I thought "fired my German boyfriend" was a euphemism for "broke up with". Glad you two are happy and have healthy boundaries!

I admire you both so much! I grew up in Palo Alto, California in a neighborhood that was a mix of Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese, it was so fantastic because we all learned each others "slang" and could tease each other in 4 or 7 languages! The best friends I ever had. I miss them so much. When i moved to Texas i moved into a old neighborhood that was all Mexican and Spanish. My mom was half native American Indian and my dad was French Canadian! It was a massive melting pot that taught me so much about life, traditions, kindness and humor, I feel endlessly fortunate and I think you are too, because you were brave enough to take chances on another life, and explore your talents. You are extremely gifted on camera, with a natural humor, wise words and a gift for connecting with your audience. I'm so happy to watch your continuing success, never be discouraged! I really respect you both for being firstly, people who behave like normal, decent people despite the fact that you’re a creator. Secondly, I truly love how you respect your relationship despite pressures of creating content based on your actual life. By now, we’ve all seen “online” relationships fail in spectacular fashion due to the egos of the persons involved. I think these failures make sense, as it’s obviously not natural, this modern day thing we all participate in. Celebs, for example, just pay PR, agents, nannies…(u name it) to maintain some semblance of a normal life. None of us can identify with them. As a content creator, you’re beginning with what you can produce w/your own 2 hands & w/o support, of course it would cause damage.
