Man I just watched a podcast with Caleb Plant & a bunch of brothers asking and talking about his trials and tribulations and the adversities the man has overcome wow this dude is an amazing person & a fighter i hold in a much higher regard after getting an accurate and true understanding of him & the road he has walked

This boxing match is still one of the best i’ve seen of this new gen.

Huge fan of Caleb.... so happy to see him triumph after the tragic death of his daughter. As much as I'd want to root for him, after seeing this fight along with his previous ones... he still doesn't stand a chance against Canelo.

The sportsmanship between these two is beautiful.

He will give Canelo problems in the first half of the fight, after that, Canelo will take him into deep waters and Knock him out. Plain and simple.

Why Jose didn't jab makes absolutely no sense. He is the longer fighter with the reach advantage.

Uzcategui could have being efficient if he had fought outside and thrown more jabs.

this is actually a really good fight. good for education as well. nice clean punches and defensive blocks being displayed (or there lack of). good to watch to learn about boxing - and the more boxer-puncher, counter-punching style. they sure are more beautiful to watch than brawling!

The second this guy tries to eat those punches like he did with Jose will be the moments before he questions why he’s looking at the lights and wondering why he’s laying on his back lmao 🤣

Haber lo que vi fue lo siguiente: Uzcategui - Fortalezas = Tiene un físico y una resistencia increible, una personalidad calmada para no desesperarse y estar siempre sereno y su especialidad obviamente es su pegada a corta distancia como fajador, es muy fuerte. Sus debilidades. Debilidades = Es lento, no tiene cintura, le falta experiencia (como vas dejarte agarrar amigo xD) por cada clinch Plant lo desconcentraba demasiado. Fuera de eso a su esquina le falta ambición concentración. En el último round a su entrenador se le ilumina la mente y le dice: No dejes que te agarre wey!.. Con una esquina mejor y con mas entrenamiento este muchacho pueder dar sorpresas. Plant - Fortalezas = Es un contragolpeador, rápido buena cintura, lee bien la distancia, buen juego de piernas, es provocador ( esto no le funcionó con Ucaztegui) todo lo demás si. Tiene experiencia (los clinch fueron fundamentales para recuperarse). Debilidades = Le falta resistencia fisica ( se agotó demasiado rápido) Le falta pegada sólida Descripción de la pelea : Plant dominó la pelea, su capacidad de contragolpe y de esquivar golpes, hacían que Uzcategui golpeara el aire constatemente, lo impactó en la quijada y cayó a la lona varias veces, pero como Plant no tiene una pegada brutal su rival se levantó como si nada, pues no se vio afectado ni fisica ni moralmente, es más se mantuvo feliz y sonriente hasta el final por su gran resistencia fisica. El campeón tomó el control de la pelea cuando Plant intercambió golpes a corta distancia y puedo lastimarlo pues además de ganar los últimos round, Plant se vio agotado y se quedó sin su juego de piernas; de no ser por que optó por abrazarlo, el boliviano pudo haberle hecho más daño del debido. Ganó la experiencia de Plant, demostró que es superior al campeón y le quitó su titulo. El ex campeón Uzcategui tiene mucho por aprender y mejorar, es un diamante en bruto todavía.

After watching this fight, I already see him hugging canelo after his hard combinations

Realize how bad the commentators were at the beginning of round 8 they clearly didn’t understand why Plant coach told him to stop throwing so many combos and start using his stick (Jab) 🤦🏾‍♂️

So far I have watched 2 Plant fights and not once did I see anything special about him. In fact I have almost dozed off watching both fights. His opponents are weak and he did very little to show that he is not weak as well. He is going to get destroyed by Canelo.

With all that smothering the last 5 rounds, I see great uppercuts coming from Canelo... I just don’t see Plant dominating Canelo at all the 2nd half of the fight. Lots of hugging from Plant once he discovers the power behind his body shots

Sigh, I just don’t see Plant beating Nelo. Plant has this default get away of sticking left or a quick 1,2 combo, duck under to the Left similar to BJS with the only diff is he gets out to the left. Homie was slow and lethargic with no snap on his punches and Plant was still getting caught repeatedly by his left and his face was being messed up. As soon as the then Champ stepped up to Plant’s pace a lil but he gassed out and was forced to trade and clinch to keep from getting overwhelmed. I think 8th-9th round KO for Canelo.🤷🏾

Jose isn’t nearly as insightful as Canelo, I mean no jabs, no feints and didn’t bother setting traps. Caleb seems slick but his movement are too tense and robotic, hasn’t faced a true offensively gifted boxer like Saul.

The more I watch Plant the more I realize he's all hype, KingNelo sleeps homie before the 7th. I'm willing to bet big on that fight if Plant actually takes the fight.

This guy is toast he doesn’t have a gas tank or power and he is gonna have to work so much more to keep Canelo off.

Jose could’ve won this fight if he jabbed more and threw more combinations. When jose throws he connects, he had the ability to do damage when he landed. Jose was just being too stationary.

33:30 and for over a minute no punches of any meaning thrown, there is no way Plant could lean on Canelo like that and expect to stay standing, Plant has no guard in the pocket either. If you look at this and replace Uzcategui with Canelo , Plant looks wide open to the speed and power of Canelo's counter shots.

Plant really impressed me with this fight he showed heart a lot of it he showed great boxing ability’s on both sides offense and defense also used angles and movement very well but he took some shots he needs to take a few less shots and gain a little more cardio and he can be a champion for a long time in this division. The talent and brains are there let’s see how he uses them and make them strong weapons vs opponents

Underrated fighter.

C Plant is a boxing genius! He played a B HOP from one to seven; he turned to a J Toney from 8 to 11 and he took round 12 easy to win comfortably. Uzcategui took only round 12 for being busy but nothing substantial and he was lazy and not hungry throughout the whole fight. Bravo Plant. NOW YOU ARE THE HUNTED, THE PRAY !💪💪💪

Jose is an athletic freak. Too bad he boxes like a middle schooler. Plant's trainer almost got him knocked out by scaring him in the corner.

I'll be rooting for Plant but I don't think he fairs to well after round 6 with Canelo. He's definitely a slick and accurate fighter but Uz was walking through his punches all night. Canelo may make easy work of Plant in the later rounds. I'm sure it will be good for the first few rounds though.

This was an upset. Didn’t know who Caleb Plant was at the time but was a huge fan of Uzcategui because of the Dirrell fights. Wasn’t expecting this outcome. Became a fan of Caleb Plant on this night though. I’d love to see Plant/Benavidez
