My name is Kevin. I hope you enjoy my videos of Dumaguete, Philippines where I retired early and live by the ocean. I often host beach parties with expats, and their Filipina wives or friends, where we swim and snorkel with colorful reef fish and corals and enjoy the island views. Please join me in exploring this beautiful area including day trips to waterfalls and mountain lookouts and island hopping. I will also show you the local infrastructure including restaurants, markets, medical facilities, etc. Please like and subscribe for more of this content.

Thanks Zayne! That’s one of my favorite places. A group of us go there every Thursday. It’s like swimming in an aquarium

NICE and CHILL. Mahalo nui for sharing. I'm recently retired and am going to make the move in a couple of years. I'm from Hawaii. Hawaii is phenomenal. I've been here for close to 30 years. Moved here from the PNW. Before moving here in my 30s, I'd been visiting regularly (family) since childhood. Pretty difficult to increase my income now, but I can definitely do things to increase the value for the US Dollar that I spend. So, a move to P.I. seems wise. I need to keep my island lifestyle. So I appreciate an informative, casual and very visual VLOG about the Philippines. Brother, I just want to pass the word to everyone...DO NOT stand on coral. Aside from pollution... standing on, anchors, boat bottoms hitting/scraping on, are one of the quickest ways to kill coral. Keep up the good work with showing us and informing us about island life in the Philippines. Aloha!

Thanks for watching Andrew! TRUST ME, I didn’t stand on the coral! I know it’s a living animal. I was out there again Sunday(I normally don’t go because of crowds, but just forgot what day it was) and unfortunately it was packed with locals who were standing on it. I mentioned the same thing to them, but unfortunately they didn’t care 🙁. Let me know when you come over! A group of us meet At Uzi’s every Thursday

Looks nice, probably much better than living in the US as far as quality of life is concerned. Cheap and scenic.

30 peso is the cheapest resort entrance fee on this entire coast and the extras are priced pretty much what you will find at some of the other resorts and swim parks.

708 days until I can put my application in for retirement!!! I’m not going to sell everything right off the get go. I’m definitely going to downsize. The first year after retirement, I’m going to get my home ready to rent so it will become a secondary income for me. Then I can do all the traveling I want.

That’s great Hoyt! I definitely recommend you renting out your home. Having a passive income stream is incredibly valuable! If expenses rise faster than just your social security check then you can be in trouble

One problem with your friends advice to sell everything and go to the Philippines is what are you going to do when you are priced out because as land and resources get used up they will not remain as cheap as they are when you first arrive. As an example Forest Camp entrance fee 10 years ago was 50 peso per visitor now it's 200. That's an awful lot of inflation going on.

You definitely need to do your due diligence, and make sure you keep up. That guy won’t have to worry about that. He’s in good shape. I do recommend some kind of passive income stream, and don’t just rely on your social security if you’re from the US.
