Very nicely explained. I have been growing betel leaves in my kitchen garden for nearly 12 years now. I have a small garden growing mostly vegetables, where in the last 12 years no chemical fertilisers or pesticides have been used. In the last one year or so I see black patches on the back of betel leaves as they mature. I cannot use them. We now have to take leaves while they are still light green in colour. I don’t know what it is. Not aphids certainly. Can you please advise?

Remove infected leaves , apply fungicide if needed, better to keep pruning for fresh stems and fresh leaves.
