MG ZS EV Summary
Latest Update: MG has increased the price of the ZS EV by up to Rs 25,000.
Price: The MG ZS EV is now priced between Rs 18.98 lakh and Rs 25.44 lakh (ex-showroom pan India).
Variants: It is available in five broad variants: Executive, Excite Pro, Exclusive Plus, Essence, and a limited-run 100 Year Limited Edition, which is based on the Exclusive Plus variant.
Colour Options: MG’s electric SUV is available in four colours: Glaze Red, Aurora Silver, Starry Black, and Candy White. The 100 Year Limited Edition variant comes in an exclusive British Racing Green colour scheme.
Seating Capacity: The ZS EV can seat up to five passengers.
Battery Pack, Electric Motor, and Range: The MG ZS EV uses a 50.3 kWh battery pack mated to an electric motor, making 177 PS and 280 Nm. The MG EV has a claimed range of 461 km.
Charging: It supports two charging options:
A 7.4 kW AC charger: 8.5 to 9 hours (0 to 100 percent)
A 50 kW DC fast charger: 60 minutes (0 to 80 percent)
Features: Key features include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, and a 6-way powered driver seat. It also gets auto AC with rear AC vents, a PM 2.5 filter and a six-speaker setup that includes 2 tweeters. The electric SUV is also provided with connected car tech and a wireless phone charger.
Safety: Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, and hill descent control. MG even offers a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including lane keep assist and departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking.
Rivals: The MG ZS EV takes on the Hyundai Kona Electric, BYD Atto 3, and the upcoming Maruti eVX. It can also be considered a costlier alternative to the Tata Nexon EV and the Mahindra XUV400 EV, which sit a segment below.
