Though you have explained all the diagnostic criteria very profoundly, I found your language really harsh and insensitive towards the patients suffering from OCPD. You make them sound like crazy people, like it is all their fault for being so stubborn and having this illness. It's not like they can just get up one day and stop having a disease. I have this illness for 15 years and I have all the 8 symptoms you described but this insensitivity from numerous psychiatrists and therapists have made me stop seeking help. They all made me feel like it's my own fault that I am not normal. I came to your channel in order to seek help, I thought of looking up your website and clinic, but after watching this video I don't think I will want a doctor like that who is insensitive towards my illness and suffering. This illness can be limiting and a handicap in someone's life. It has destroyed mine so far and I want to let you know that we patients do not enjoy being stubborn or perfectionists, nor do we think that we are better that everyone else. We also do not enjoy making others suffer because of our perfectionism. You cannot successfully treat your patients with that kind of thinking and without sympathizing with their suffering. Maybe that's why the treatment rates are extremely low for OCPD.

Yeah..right. I am also a patient of OCD, I usually watch his video and want to consult him for my problem. but after watching this video, I think I have to change my decision 😌 Its like he is making fun of the OCPD Patients. His way of talking indicate this.

Psychiatrist are also HUMAN BEINGS with all the flaws we got as clients.. I agree with you on them being insensitive but don't loose heart. Try to get a better Dr and help. You are absolutely rgt that Dr's need to be better balanced in perspective.

Sir ocd me aisa darr bhi lagta hai k agar maine ye kaam aaj kiya eg - maine raat ko 2-2:30 bje tk apne kamre me apna manpasand tv dekha. to ocd person aisa sooch he nahi sakta kyonki usko ye darr lagega k agar mere mother,father ne mujhe is tarah tv dekhte hue dekh liya to mere uppar zindagi bhar ye tag lag jaega k main to bahut masti karta hu, maje se movie dekhta hu etc. To agar person ko aise khayal aaye to kya ye zindagi bhar ka kisi cheez ka ilzaam lagne ka darr satana ocd ka symptom ho sakta hai? Pls reply..🙏
