Banaoang Bridge Bantay-Santa Ilocos Sur
Whenever we plan a trip to our province in Ilocos Sur, I am excited in anticipation at the chance of seeing this iconic bridge. My earliest recollection of Quirino Bridge or as I fondly remember as Banaoang Bridge was when I was about 8 years old moving from our province to Manila. The trip is about 8 hours and I manage not to sleep if it is a day-time trip.
I have seen bridges in my young age and what stuck in my mind was at the time, it was typhoon season and the water was raging and very close to the bridge road, overwhelming really, even for a young boy. If you've experienced it, I can almost guarantee you will not forget it easily.
