joe for the gate you could use the metal bits you are using for the side and reinforce it with wood put in the inside and screwed and then put sheet metal on the gates just a suggestion.

Tip on making your battery drill last longer. Take the drill off hammer mode unless your drilling concrete. Hammer mode on wood sears the drill out.

Everything is coming along Joe.....I envy you .....I was talking to a woman in Dipolog for a little while but she was scared I was not for real.....I told her if she was not comfortable then walk away.....she kept talking but worried much soI said I would walk away. She was sweet, mid 50's but not meant to be

The garage is shaping up real good. Since galvanize iron for the walls will becomes hot in hot days, I suggest you use wooden plywood or equal for the rest of the walls ( back and the other side next to the house ) if you haven’t bought the the GI roofing yet. But you can always return them.

Most technicians in general and parts comes from Manila or Cebu. The lift in City mall takes months to fix which makes very hard for Seniors and ladies when shopping groceries🤔

joe ,i love the progress you have made and it looks very cozy now.. i had a question. every architect i have talked to (in the philippines) has told me that a metal stud wall with hardieboard walls and ceiling will cost much more than plain old hollowblock walls but i dont see it.. the time and materials to render walls and only have them crack later doesnt make sense ...cement post with angle iron beams and joists are what i am thinking .. what is your opinion price wise hollowblock walls vs metal stud .. thanks

This carport that is as big as any small 2 bedroom house would cost under 200k PHP no builder contractor. A year ago I was quoted 500k not taking into account the land slope and the house was sooo small🤔 rebars are costly and hard to find HB that does not crack.

will you put some window on your garage , will be beter for airflow and light . could be a nice working shop there...here we put 16 inches stud to stud in the wall

Your house and garage are looking really good 👍 and that little pup you got sure is cute 🙏 totally none of my business. If it was my house whenever I had a little extra money I would put a cover from your carport to your front porch so when it’s raining, you can go from one place to the other without getting wet. Sorry if I stick my nose in there too far into your business.🙏🙏🙏
