I'm old enough to remember the big problems were motor mounts, bell housing and making the headers fit. All of these wiring harnesses are an entire different science. Great job. It should be a beast on the street and trails.

While I appreciate providing an insight into the task you assigned yourself for those of us who might think to do a similar conversion, I am of an age where the music you chose as a background filler gave me a headache. To each their own though. Despite the differences in music between your age and my 50s-60s age group, a definite level of camaraderie can be shared since many of those in my generation routinely did engine (etc.) swaps... minus the headaches today's vehicles give due to the electronic-based systems. Nonetheless, I would like to point out that there are no doubt several people who come across this project of yours and had hoped to see a start- to- finish conversion where a V-6 was replaced with a V-8. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

@@DirtGarage oh, I'm a mad scientist tho. My 2007 Sv650 is a Frankenstein, Removed the fuel injection and swapped in carbs. Had to make a custom half and half harness. I was mostly leaning towards the 2iz since im tired of the complexity of the v6 over the inline. (Buried knock sensors, no access to things like starter, etc.)
