7 жыл бұрынVaastav opens with a family performing the funeral rites of a person on a beach. When the young son of the deceased asks his grandmother all about the deceased, she begins to narrate the story.
As the film opens, Raghunath Namdev Shivalkar or "Raghu" and his best friend Dedh Footiya (literally meaning "One and a half feet tall" in Hindi) struggle to find work in Mumbai. Raghu lives in a Mumbai Chawl with his retired father , mother and a graduate but unemployed brother. They decide to run a pav bhaji stall. But Raghu and Dedh Footiya accidentally kill a customer who turns out to be the brother of a notorious gangster, Fracture Bandya . Now on the run, the two of them soon kill Fracture Bandya and his men also, when the latter tries to find them and kill them both treacherously by arranging a meeting through Suleiman Bhai, a middle man in the Mumbai underworld. Raghu and Dedh Footiya now end up in the Mumbai underworld.

Sanjay Dutt wasn't acting, he actually lived that character "Raghu". Undoubtedly, one of the stellar performances of the Hindi film industry and the entire cast made this movie exceptionally hard-hitting & heuristic.

Masterpiece meaning is greatest work ever by the actor, if this star made between 100 to 200 movies and this movie stands out, out of all of them in there career and always remembered by the public then this movie is considered Masterpiece. Masterpiece is also means you feel something special, motivation, inspiration when watching a particular movie, it's unique in its own work. This has nothing to do with years OK. For me tere naam is one of Indias most devastating and popular best film ever, everyone loved salman in that, everyone copied his hairstyle, songs are great, his acting was superb best performance ever, this film will make everyone cry, no other film has made me cry like tere naam did

That scene " Pagal ho raha hu mein" gets me to the too serious state of mind. " Pachaas tola, kitna?" gets me to imagine n feel the real gangster vibe..and at last scene he left everyone cry.. Who can portrays this role except Sanjay dutt ? no one. He steped up his filmy career through nepotism, but through his talent, still he could step up his filmy career even without of father's legacy. He can portray any type of role like comic role, action role, decent type of role, love n tragedy role, khal naayak role at his super best level. A very real actor ever in bollywood. I watched this movie when I was just 7 with my dad. He explained to me the plot, every detail and the moral of the story. I learned a great deal from it and must say that the lessons have greatly helped me do well and avoid trouble in life. Vaastav isn't just a movie; it's a lot more than just that. ❤

I actually liked Dhed Futiya's Dad as a character in the movie and it was very heartbreaking to see him pass away. The thing that made it worse was that Raghu's father also got shot on the scene of the funeral of Dhed Futiya's Dad. (Thankfully he survived)

I love Sanjay dutt acting in this gangster Film 🎥. Very emotional 😭 Some scenes will make anyone cry 😭 like his wife life himself he was an innocent 😇 simple guy but people pushed him into becoming gangster and last scene where mother shoots him in the head His father emotions indescribable How much he loved him !! This film isn’t just a film but True story of many poor and middle class family kids I can relate myself 😞
