Vaathi Coming really means Teacher/Professor/Master is coming. At the beginning when the guy goes "Kasu venduringalai? Vehama adiga" means "You're getting money for this, right? Hit (drums) harder/faster". Vijay is a supposedly very liked in the school, he is a rogue teacher, drinks a lot and gets into trouble with the school heads. So, at the beginning of the movie, he was missing in action for a number of reasons (heads of school suspended him as a teacher, he was also drunk and sleeping in). During the assembly the students were interrupting and didn't want to start the show without their favorite teacher; long story short.... the heads of school was willing to accept him back so that they can properly start the assembly.... this guy went to get him, and Vijay asks "Oomailai vara sonagala?" meaning "Did they truthfully ask me to come?" and the guy goes "Of course". Then the dance all starts.

Also the sloppy choreography was intentional! The director wanted to make the dancing less coordinated and show what it would be like if people just got together and started dancing to some sick beats.
