4:58. Pixar legit does the research for this sort of thing. For Toy Story 1, they strapped a pair of shoes to a wooden plank to see how the soldiers would walk. For Ratatouille, a guy in a chef’s uniform jumped into a pool to see what it looked like when it was soaking wet. I genuinely would not be surprised if they actually made a giant tortilla suit and made someone walk around in it.

Actually, fun fact:it might have been a marketing strategy to "change" sonic's design. They very well could always have planned to have it be the way it was,and what better way to get people talking about your movie by releasing an ugly trailer,then pleasing people with the actual design
