In this explore we find two houses buried beneath the trees.
From the outside, i personally didn't think these vacant properties looked very appealing.
How wrong was i...........
Inside we discover the left behind belongings of a past family that has long since disappeared.
From Antiques and toys, to old furniture and a piano, we were blown away!!
A proper time capsule!

I'm guessing a resident of that first house might have been a naval architect for a shipbuilder called Vosper Thornycroft. In addition to those drawings, the knife Ed holds up looks like it could be used for building small scale models, and the Real3D software referenced in the paper appears to be related to structural analysis.

Nice one, really looking forward to this, personally I prefer the house abandonments with the stuff left behind, not quite so keen on bunkers and tunnels etc cos there's rarely any stuff left 😂

Another brilliant explore Guy's.. The drawing of the large yacht had "Thornycroft" stamped on it.. The design was typical of the 1920's but Thotnycroft built specialist Naval vessels during WW-1. Sir John Isaac Thornycroft (born Feb. 1, 1843, Rome, Papal States [Italy]-died June 28, 1928, Bembridge, Isle of Wight, Eng.) was an English naval architect and engineer who made fundamental improvements in the design and machinery of torpedo boats and built the first torpedo boat for the Royal Navy.

Mosanic ware is fetching big money now if you get the early pieces, Kiln craft Staffordshire pottery in that style is from about 1970 ish, remember dishwashers came out in 68. My Gran had a Dishwasher in 1935 ! " My Mum"😂😂😂😂😂

Thornycroft yacht builders closed in 1966. Such a shame those drawings haven't been preserved, I'm sure lots of boating types would love the original drawings. Both properties have an air of sadness about them, and I should imagine they've been earmarked for demolition. Great explore, always look forward to watching.

@@daphnerosemoon9843 Do you have a special kind of teddy bear brand? I love the "Gund" brand the most. There are over 101 teddy bears from 1 inch to 3 feet in my house from many different brands and places. I've collected all of my life, so at 66 years that's a bundle of bears.

Last week was epic, but enjoyed this week's explore equally as much. Good value per sq.ft! The coal buckets are called scuttles. I looked up John Isaac Thornycroft, naval architect, so family connections maybe. Thanks for another great explore.

The Red racing bike is a Raleigh Europa, it ca.e out in 1975, I swapped my bike a microscope and a telescope for one off of a schoolmate, Riding it down the road one day his Dad knocked me off of it with his car! Police ambulance the lot turned up, turned out my so called mate told his parents the bike was stolen from him, his Dad got prison for using his car as a weapon I kept the bike and got £700 compensation for my injuries and my ex Friend Couldn't sit down for a long time!😂 apart from the Compensation the court awarded me his dad's insurance had to pay almost £1500 for my injuries repairs to the bike and my damaged clothes. We didn't stay angry with each other long, I was best man at his wedding in 87.
