It makes sense for the hair to get more oily when straight because it's easier for the oil to travel along the strands than when it's curly.

I found my process where I’m confident in my styling and low maintenance…mini twists (sometimes with added hair), silk press (flat iron at salon, or roller set at home)…on repeat…3-4 weeks in each style… If i get bored i get a sew in or braid down for a v part wig. The key is regular trims, protein, limiting heat between washes…AND GIVING UR CURLS TIME TO BOUNCE BACK. U cant assault ur hair with a flat iron, or keep ur protective styles in forever, the balance is where u get curly girl freedom and heat trained hair. I might see a little curl loosening in repeated silk presses, but protein and a month in twists gets them back Everytime.

I’m not relaxed but I wear my hair straight and it grows so much because the oils lubricate my strands so perfectly.-I still don’t wash too frequently because I’m use to my system lol.

I’m about to do mini twists fren. I usually buy outre, because idk why freetress be too shiny for my hair. I bought it to test, and I’m sticking with outre lol. Question how many times do you separate the one piece out the bundle ?
