Synopsis
Kavita works as a dancer and Ragini as a singer in the troupe of Kantabai and both are very close friends.Troupe has a many female dancers who spend quality time with rich men where Kavita gets pregnant with Bhiku Sheth.Kavita wants to give birth to the child while Bhiku Sheth hesitates as he does not want the child to grow in that environment and tells Kavita to abort the child next day. In the mid night Kavita elopes from the village after meeting Ragini and no one knows her whereabouts while next day Ragini also leaves the troupe.After few months Kavita comes with a just born daughter to live with Ragini and names her Geeta she takes promise from Ragini that she will never let Geeta follow her way but get her educated and marry her in a good family and kills herself by consuming poison so that no one questions Geeta for being a illegitimate child.Ragini brings up Geeta as her own daughter but faces financial issues she then returns to troupe of Kantabai as a singer in order to earn some money where Ragini starts getting respect by everyone.While Bhiku Seth is feels guilty of his attitude and misses Kavita and his child things re getting on track for Ragini but faith has other plans for her.
