I'm so glad they're back. I'm a little concerned about it being limited to AppleTV+, but if the directors and co-writers from the original are returning, I think it's in good hands. The creator's son would know better than anyone alive what Peanuts should be.

Charlie Brown, Snoopy and all of their friends going to a city does seem like a big event, similar to the scale that the more classic Peanuts movies like “Snoopy, Come Home” or “Race For Your Life Charlie Brown”, the last movie was good, but I do see that the older movies and specials were often more ambitious with their stories.

Actually, I'm not that bummed by Apple being the distributor. They gave Killers of the Flower Moon a wide release last month. The big screen gives a movie prestige. I'm quite optimistic as to them treating Peanuts as one of their flagship properties, thus heading full-on into theaters.

One of the things I loved about "The Peanuts Movie" was that it included the lesser seen characters like Frieda, Violet, Patty and Shermy. I sure hope they'll be in the new movie - and I'd especially like to see one of my favorites, 5!

If this was a sequel, Heather Wold aka the little red-haired girl would’ve made an appearance as Charlie brown’s best friend and travel with him throughout the movie along with the peanuts gang but since she’s NOT in this concept art, it’s likely not a sequel.
