Wonderful to see these videos of Val Doonican and brings back warm memories of watching his shows in my younger years and had the pleasure of meeting him in his senior years . He lived at the Water glades in Beaconsfield where I worked for a few years as a caretaker. He was a warm and friendly person and is sadly missed. A British Icon and a wonderful talent who entertained us with a host of fabulous artists on his shows. Sadly missed.

I miss seeing Val Doonican on tv especially his Christmas show. Such happy memories of Christmas Eve nights sitting with all the family and enjoying such great TV! Merry Christmas!
