I’m impressed! I think the majority of us expected Val to be the “stereotypical mean popular kid. But Val turned out to be a very supportive and understanding friend for Riley to have. Plus when the coach told the girls to do skating lines, most of the Fire Hawks looked at Riley mad, but Val looked more concerned for her. Val also came to Riley’s defense while the other girls were talking mean about her.

I like how Val wasn’t portrayed as the stereotypical mean girl or bully or that she doesn’t really treat her friends as actual friends and they dump her for Riley. They made her a genuine nice person.

Val is a total queen!❤ She is a goddess at hockey, super nice and funny, also is drop dead gorgeous!

I wish we'd gotten to see Val's emotions. She seemed to be run by the emotion of "Relaxed" because that's how she was the whole time.

She was my favorite character in this movie, she was the best looking one and the coolest

I love how Val took Riley under her wing. She was a genuinely nice person, especially the part when she was concerned if Riley got sleep the night before the coach’s notes. We all thought that she would be the mean girl in the movie. Boy, were we wrong.

Val Ortiz truly is the nicest, sweetest, kindest, friendliest and gentlest girl👧 in the movie I like her 😊☺️.

I'm glad they subverted the age old cliché of the popular kid being a jerk. They made a popular girl here actually nice and helpful. Pixar, you geniuses, you've done it again!

I feel like Riley was already guaranteed to make the team the moment the coach spoke to her, and she only invited Riley to meet the other firehawks. I feel like this whole plot could have been avoided if riley knew, I mean even if this wasn’t true Riley was gonna make the team regardless, she got 2 goals which got Val into the team during her freshmen year as well

I totally adore Val because she is a popular girl but she is not the tipical mean or fake girl, is pretty much auttentic and is always trying to Riley feel comfortable, I almost feel like is the most genuine friend in the popular team for Riley, she is not trying to much, she's just been herself.

My favorite part is where Riley is enjoying pizza and coffee with Val and the other FireHawks.

I feel like if Aladdin and Jasmine had a daughter, she'd look just like her.

I loved Val, she was so sweet and kind to Riley, it was almost as if she saw Riley and went 'Protective Sister Figure Mode Activated', because girl literally took her under her wing!

Bro, I really loved this film for many reasons (because of the animation, the comedy, the new characters/emotions (mainly Anxiety and Ennui) and of course, the ending and the moral lesson that the film brings), and Val is one of the main reasons I think Inside Out 2 is the best Pixar sequel besides Toy Story 3. Let's be honest, this is the first time we see a popular girl at school who is kind in an animation, a rare thing for if it happens in the cinema, right? Furthermore, she is the most beautiful character in the entire film. I confess that every time she appeared in the cinema I felt that it was Anxiety that was in charge on the control panel of my mind. And even with a surprising screen time (around 4 minutes or more I guess), I thought that the The film could have explored even more about her. because in my opinion she deserves everything that is good and the best. I just thought that in the film she was kind of superficial, even though we already knew a lot about her throughout the film, and we fans hope that in the third film she has more about her! MARRY ME, GAL ORTIZ! I LOVE YOU 3000😭♥️💍

I love her she really is companionate to Riley❤️‍🔥though that was not what I expected her to be for one of “cool” kids I thought she was going to sabotage Riley in the back but being companionate that’s really cooler✌️
