This is one of the most uncomfortable and creepy movies I've ever seen. But it's not traditional horror at all. It's very beautiful actually. Yet that almost makes it more... disturbing and surreal. It's like a dream that you can't wake up from, nothing ever feels right, time doesn't flow right, characters randomly change, you're being chased, you're lost, you're home, then you're not, and you just can't wake up. This movie really did something special.

A unique, and rather strange film. There was an edititing error on what must have been an early transfer with the one I bought a while back where the 'Wraith' or 'Vampire', I'd guess you'd call him, was walking down the cobbled street and the film would hop around due to bad film splicing I think. It was rather freaky watching it while... err, a bit stoned. This looks far better than the scratchy copy I own. Order placed!.

Man Beadle ...”rather” strange? That’s quite the understatement. 🤣

@@etal843 Thanks for the reply, you've reminded me of the film 5 years later. I'm going to have to find out why those young lovers spitefully decided to get it on in the hedges right next to the nuns pathway to work... or did the nuns take a dirty detour?!

I heard a brief reference of this movie by a film critic on PBS a long long time ago. Looks good. Will watch.

Does anyone know the name of this prayer?
@clavicleofcernunnos4 жыл бұрын
I don't think that's any prayer you will find in an actual Christian context. Most likely it comes from the book by Vítěslav Nezval, but I've yet to read it to confirm. Otherwise, it was probably written for the film.
@davidhakobyan14874 жыл бұрын
@@clavicleofcernunnos thank you. But just to be clear I meant the prayer that is sung by the choir, not the one that Polecat recites. I wanna read the book too.
