Agreed. That was a stealth attack. Had a client do that to a celeb interviewee long ago. They promised they would not "go there" and ask a highly personal and inappropriate question, so we landed the interview. Then they did and the poor celeb was blindsided. I dumped the client. Hoda and Jenna should be reprimanded and banned from doing this again - and should apologize.

@@jacsig I think he realized just how much she meant to him at the end, when it was a bit too late. He treated her really poorly throughout most of their marriage (her two autobiographies documented much of the disrespect), though she always showed nothing but genuine respect, concern and love for him during and after their marriage. Her love for him never wavered and despite her brave facade and easy laughter, I believe she is hurting tremendously. Her being blindsided by two women who should know better was inexcuseable!

@@birdsfan57 I think Eddie always loved Valerie too. He still had the Valerie tattoo on his arm in 2008 on the tour even tho he was supposedly already engaged to Janie! Lol! And I read both of her books too and love the story of how in 2007 while they were getting divorced he would call her hotel room to say goodnight to Wolfie and then when she got back on the phone he would tell her how beautiful she looked! Lol! And her boyfriend was right there! Lol! I think drugs & alcohol got the best of Eddie and led him to make some very poor choices that cost him his marriage. And he took Valerie for granted that's for sure. But I think he always loved her but was messed up on drugs during their marriage. I have seen other interviews during that time that weren't referred to in the books which made me think he loved her too. And look at some of the photos of them together back in the day where Eddie's arm was around Valerie but it was below her waist! Lol! Also I can tell you from having experienced it myself that when someone is dying of a terminal illness his/her world gets very small. There is no way Valerie would have been visiting Ed in the hospital when he was having surgery or when he died unless Eddie wanted her there.

And let's get real here, my ex was not famous so I don't have people coming up to me all the time talking about him. My kids did not have as good a relationship as Wolfie does so I didn't have their grief in the mix. Valerie has so many things/reminders to work through. Not to mention that, as an actress, she is very in touch with her emotions so they bubble right up.

But she has mentioned her dance partner and often and was busy making dance videos with him and posting them on U Tube while her husband was dying from a brain tumor. Don't have much respect for a woman who marries a very wealthy man who had cancer and then posts on Instagram after he dies that her life with him hasn't been easy.

Exactly Jaci, if people do not understand the relationship between Valerie and Eddie, they should do some research into it. It was young love, it was her going through so many ups & downs in a marriage that was scrutinized enough by media back then, (Cannot think of how bad it would have been if social media had been around) Eddie living with his addictions, the band all of it. The fact that they could remain friends and co-parent as they did, just demonstrates how much they meant to each other.

It's a wonder they stayed together as long as they did with all the media scrutiny they endured! When she was on Andy Cohen's show in 2012 he asked her if she would marry Eddie again. She said yes BTW Lol! And now that he has died they won't stop asking her about Eddie! I lost an ex of mine to leukemia in 2015. It hit me really hard. We dated about 6 years. Had a really bad breakup and she got sick 9 months later, she lived about a year and a half after being diagnosed. 😥

@Sara Mill No she didn't dump him. She divorced him because he was carrying coke while travelling with their 9 year old son. And he was using coke around Wolfie. And he wouldn't stop. As a mother, she could not allow her son to continue to be around someone who is using illegal drugs, even if it is his father. If you're a mother, you wouldn't allow that either. She had to divorce him, to get her son out of that situation.
