The week after 9/11/2001, she continued performances starring in "The Allergist's Wife" on Broadway. I waited with others by the stage door. She was very generous and spoke to us as we huddled together. She spoke with wisdom and concern about development aid and hopes for peace. That was a profound moment she shared in public that was important in my life.
