My heart honestly broke when he broke the helmet so Jess could go out with Sam. It truly showed that he would do anything for her, even if they never get back together. Even break what is left of his connection with his dad.

i recently rewatched the show and i figured out that the show literally hinted at their relationship. jesse brakes up with russel bcs they don’t have passion. they never fought ever and that bothered her bcs she wanted passion. that SAME episode jesse comes back to the apartment and nick and her have a fight. the chemistry is explosive. in that moment i knew what was about to come.

I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t think these two would be paired up so soon. Idk, it felt soon to me, but after rewatching literally 10 times I think the timing was right. I first saw the chemistry between them in the wedding episode when they were in the photobooth. From then on whenever they’re together I just look at Nick and he almost always looks like he’s suppressing her feelings for her. But then he almost slips up in ‘Injured.’ I think Nick was trying to tell her he like-likes her during that scene at the beach. Then, when they got into that explosive fight after her breakup with Russell and she comes home and sees him back with Caroline. I was like ‘yeah, these two have so much sexual tension.’ And then finally, in the last episode of S1 when he came back to the loft and they opened their doors at the exact same time and shared a quick exchange - the looks on their faces could just spell out that they are super into each other 😍

i knew Nick loved her from the beginning even on my first watch, it was so obvious! he probably loved her more than she ever did and it showed so much throughout the show. it was nice that it was Jess who first realized towards the end just how special their connection was. they were meant for each other
