This is insane! Not only your build is extraordinary, the edit is just off the top! Never seen this quality of production about Valheim contents before, I actually gasped when I see the spiral edit of the tower. Damn this is just straight fire 🔥

Yet another stellar build, huge magical vibes throughout, you nailed it! The custom floor on the ground level was a really nice extra detail. Also, phenomenal use of the undo/redo! those 'timelapses' were seriously epic...

Valheim really needs these kinda of preset locations and dungeons to be peppered into the world. Sorta like how Minecraft started off completely as a sandbox, but slowly introduced villages, dungeons, and even the nether you can teleport to. Obviously the extent of this specific build is insane, but if Valhiem had smaller presets that can interlock and create random spawns, that could reward the player with equipment at the end of defeating a slightly stronger mob. And if the crafting could make it easier to cheese these areas, they could introduce them through portals that bring you to an area that doesn't let you craft or build, like Diablo-esque random dungeon challenges or shrines from Breath of The Wild.

this is really awesome! I'd love to see this sort of thing done in vanilla maybe if you get lucky and find some good rock spawns in the mountains you could dig out a section of mountain for it

Good sir, I don't know what's more impressive: your builds or your filming/editing! Fantastic job as always! How do you achieve what must be SUPER slow-mo panorama filming while you timelapse build? Are you or someone else actively controlling the 2nd camera in any way, or is there a way to set it to such a slow rotation? I'm also super curious about how you highlight sections in blue as part of your edits (ie. @07:44 ). I'm trying to level up my videos as well. You, Smitty and others providing excellent inspiration as always :)

There is a castle on a cloud, I like to go there in my sleep. Not any floors for me to sweep, not in my castle on a cloud. There is a lady all in white, holds me and sings a lullaby, shes nice to see and shes soft to touch and she says cosette, I love you very much.

I love getting inspired by these and then starting to try and build, but then quickly realize that any time I try and add angles that are not straight that a lot more math comes into the planning than I am prepared to do. Also I'm stupid. You seem to know exactly the distance needed between 2 points to get the roof angles correct with the overall height you want. I'm curious to know if when you plan the footprint if you plan that portion into it, or if there is a certain amount of 'unknown' that you have to account for when constructing? Also, this is the best build I've seen yet, and I recognize your voice enough to know that several of my "Best builds" must have come from you. Makes me wonder if you're an architect or engineer in your day-to-day life?

Not an architect but I watch a lot of architecture content. Buildings are fascinating to me. I'd say when it comes to translating that into Valheim its really all about the plan. The roof may not have been included in the plan but I've built enough to be able to "eyeball" it based on the length and width of the build which was included in the plan. So time spent in the game, a passion for architecture out of the game and a well thought out plan (which gets easier with time) would be the combo I think that I use for building. Thanks friend :)

The item ids for the rocks are on screen in the video when I use them. The mods I use are in the description of the video.

@@9byte the thing i can think of thats vanilla friendly is the vines and the green roofs that are in-game ... can't do much else without mods sadly.

You built a Faraday Cage around the unstable apparatus....... never seend anyone do that.... Is it effective for the protection of the build?

The Eitr refinery needs to be surrounded by iron. It spits out Eitr that does damage to buildings around it otherwise.

Do you draw this out or plan it before going in game?

For this build no. I just totally winged this one with no inspiration or theme. Sometimes I do draw it out or make a plan though. I think the main thing for working without a plan is to make sure you're working with different elevations. If you can do that with a build you can really add a lot more to look at then just a flat build.

No height limit in Valheim as far as I know.

Some of the pieces in the console float. All of the rock4 rock variants do this for example. This is the coast and mountain variant used here. So enable devcommands, then: spawn rock4_coast or rock4_mountain
