TIMESTAMPS 0:01 Intro 0:50 What is Hearth and Home really? What was the initial idea and what did it eventually become? 5:33 What does Hearth and Home do for the biomes that we already have? You talked about the mountains, like they didn't have many unique foods, what does Hearth and Home bring for, say the mountains for example? 10:42 What can people actually expect from Hearth and Home? 12:24 What about players with existing builds? Are they gonna get deleted? 14:29 In the spotlights that we did, we talked a bit about that you’re gonna be able to choose your playstyle a bit more, and some people have gotten the impression that you can only play as a tank or only play as a DPS character, is that how it’s actually gonna work? 20:25 How much have we actually shown from the update and how much is still going to be a surprise for players to discover as they go? Why do we wanna keep stuff secret? 22:27 This is not an MMORPG, where we actually need to retain players. Valheim will have an ending. “oh, when you’ve finished the game, there’s nothing more to do!” 25:43 Valheim on consoles/Mac 27:06 Mistlands is the next big update after Hearth and Home 30:38 Specific hopes for Hearth and Home, final thoughts 32:26 Josefine is gonna put out the fire. Time to go to bed. Apparently, the troll didn't like that.

LOVE that the devs are making a game "for a small group of people" and not one "that's supposed to be liked by everyone". Because YES, if you make a game/movie/ect meant to be liked by EVERYONE, it ends up being bland and no one's favorite thing. Catering to the lowest common denominator isn't how you make something that lasts. I ADORE Valheim. I love how it is both simple and intuitive, and has so much depth and complexity when you really dig in; H&H really seems to be expanding the latter without sacrificing the former. Thank you, Valheim Devs, for making a game that is unique and well-crafted.

The game is pretty much liked by everyone. They Thought that would have not been like that but they were wrong. (of course, they were wrong. This game has a unique style and also mechanics of extreme successful games like Minecraft) I'm afraid that saying "this game is for few" is already too late and is like saying "well sorry if you don't like what we are going to do but we didn't expect you to care about our game so sucks to be you mate".

Making a game that ends, WTF?! You're supposed to keep adding new content for a couple years, sell out to a large production company, allow their executives to stick their hands in your game turning it into a hollow shell of what it used to be packed with gacha mechanics and microtransactions causing your player base to despise you and then it slowly dies over the next few years with incriminating exposés on your company being released years later. At least that's how it's done here in 'Merica!

Really appreciate this fireplace chat type of interaction and sharing with the community and players. I think it's a great way to help[ enthusiasts for Valheim understand your vision for the game, the challenges faced and decisions made. You can never keep everyone happy, but this type of sharing builds community and helps manage expectations. It's always valuable to communicate with the players - while retaining (and explaining) your vision for where and how the game should evolve (and finish). I'd highly recommend continuing these types of session, not just at main releases but as a regular event (maybe quarterly?) rhythm.

Thanks for making this game. My brother and I are having the most fun together that we had in YEARS! Your approach to making this project is the correct one, please don't change it!!! For example, we are not googling much so we are taking time to decypher exactly what goes with what to make something and that's a BIG part of the fun. Also the housing system, we found out we are both super passionate about architecture and this system makes is amazingly comprehensive to build any normal structure! (and we are only 8 hours into the game) Thank you.

Excellent. What a great team. Love what they've done, what they're doing and how they are doing it. Going to do as they suggest and start afresh when the update drops on Thursday (Thor's day!). Really keen on trying out the knives and (new) double-handed axe - and changes to the Plains!

wonderful chat. Its good to see that the Developers try to keep the big picture in mind and don't get bogged down by "balancing" this months Meta-weapons or builds. I never regretted my purchase and look forward to continue playing.

I'd love more fireside chats, but i'd much rather they focus on the game and less on 'outside' interviews. Just keep the chats internal thanks. Adding more outside interviews just has them wasting time answering the same questions over and over instead of doing what they are REALLY good at, developing.

@@scruffygaming627 to be fair the way this game came out of nowhere and became so successful, surprising even the devs, is a very interesting thing to talk about, so a noclip documentary would be pretty cool

I like an ending, I just hope they don't do it so early. I want the journey to be long each playthrough I make.
@AlmostProGaming
@AlmostProGaming 2 жыл бұрын
@@lonesomegavlan7279 Agreed. I probably shouldn't be worried since it sounds like they still have a lot of stuff they want to add into the game, but I hope they don't finish the game before adding in features that allow for unique playthroughs (more stuff like the Shopkeeper essentially [rare finds on the map that there is only 1 of], and other additions to make new playthroughs unique).
