An outpost design made in the Mountains but of-course would suit other Biomes, we wanted to test a house design mixed with Stone and came up with this! Hope you enjoy.

Why I enjoy your build videos is that they are ones that I can copy. I took one and used the framing and then modified it. I am no a visual creative person, so I need a blue print, then I am good to go. Thanks, for making Valheim that much better!

Enjoy the new build. Just also finally joined the discord. One of the things I do enjoy in your build is how you often frame the foundation. Often with wooden anchors or with the stones in this one. A minor amount of terraforming you do. So the house does look more natural in the environment on a hillside or whatever the environment is. So it's much unlike taking an area of land and massively flattening it to just make a build on all flat land. So I enjoy how you use the natural environment as it is to build around and with it. Thus the more natural setting.

i love how you play with different patterns and textures in the build - round log balustrades vs square, offset 2x1 bricks vs 1x1 bricks, smooth wooden framing of rough stone... brilliant work 👌

As someone who has been around construction most of their life, not having the stone joints staggered kind of triggers me. It would be very weak the way it is build, if this was RL. Yes, I always stagger the joints when I build in this game. lol Other than that, great job as usual. The music really adds to the video.
@Ramazan_Durak
@Ramazan_Durak 3 жыл бұрын
for those who don't know what is staggering joints, I watched some videos for you. It is "not putting all the construction pieces on top of each other evenly"; in this case, stones. When laying the upper layer of stones, the end of each stone brick should align with the middle of each stone brick at the lower layer. This makes the construction more rigid and you disable all weak points in case of an earthquake and such. There are several techniques to do it, but I just simplified.

One thing I'd like to see when it comes to the building process is having a grid image used so others can see how many pillars/Beams/Poles etc etc were used to make the footprint of the build. I find it kind of tedious to pause the video every twenty seconds to count out the amount of building blocks it takes to just get the foundation laid out. Or maybe putting a caption to show if a build is 11W X 13L I feel it'd make the 'How to build' Videos a bit easier to understand for some people.
