It's not just to three - fish comes in sizes of 1 to 5. 5s are such monsters that you pretty much have to have your boat right beside them when you hook them, and just try to yank them up the side in time. They drain 250 stamina in a matter of about 1 second.

Yeah, I spotted this ridiculously large perch and caught it right in the edge - lvl 5. It was only a 2m cast but I still lost it. Luckily it fell at my feet and I was able to grab it. I saw a >3 trollfish, but wasn't fishing at the time. It's very obvious when you see one. Re: Tetrafish. The last patch added an additional possible lake to Frost Cave generation, so they're a bit more common than when 04am made his video. I found one while I was farming Fenris hair - with a load of fish up on the bank, so easy pickings.

Yeah I found a lvl 5 Perch and casted out not realizing it was that huge. It got away 2 times before i hooked it and ran it to shore to actually catch it.

Caught a lvl 5 Pike this morning. Bigger than my character. Mounted him in the wall of my kitchen!

There is a much lazy way to get those fishes. Where you see a pool of fish you will also see they jump out of water. So what you do it bring materials for 4 big boats and encircle those fish with them (yep you gota swim). Then you just wait and jump from 1 boat to another to pick up the fish. (its much easier in mulitplayer setting tho) And you can catch any fish that way (exept cave one) without needing to make stupid bait. Its even easier if there is a stream of water betwen 2 forests as you can park boats there. You can also build a fish farm on a coast by abusing 45* roofs as water will drop fish into those and make them stuck (just be sure you remove workbench or they wont re-spawn).

fishing is fun especially when you catch 3 fish with one bait XD also you could always try and catch the fish when it jumps out of the water I've done this once and a few times now using one bait to catch multiple also the best thing is when a fish jumps into your boat XD

@@UnknownFactions the next best thing about getting the whole fish is now you can have them in your spa at base and watch them swim or jump out XD also if you get a puffer fish don't throw it on the ground and walk into it :P

Found a small frost-cave pond on our seed w/tetra. The island did indeed have all 6 biomes.

I walked into the first frost cave i encountered on my seed. It had a thawed lake and a tetra jumped out. I picked it up with my hands and though, aight cool.

kinad wish there was more of a reason to sail to different biomes to do this other than just "its a different trophy to hang on the wall" we already have enough trophies lol... if there was a higher chance to hook higher levelled fish depending on the biome you fish from, that would be much better imo.

This is to collect various fish as trophies, you can still make a trap to farm for fish wraps tho :)

That's just the longship haha there was a merchant ship you could spawn in with crates but i dont know if they have released it yet. i'd have to look....

the baits are inefficient, given the time & effort to make all baits required to get Anglerfish for the Fish & bread it's fasted & more efficient just to catch regular fish & give the ability to just pick them up from shorelines, boat decks etc IMO don't waste time chasing these new fish, just eat good foods more often (5 mins bonus for all that effort really?) or just for trophies. - also the skill is super easy to level up, just use ie, & try aiming for 10-16M throw, or pull in to there & use `E` + mouse hover to grab when fish is near to reduce Stamina use improving catch rate. get a teammate to to pick them up help heaps to.
