What struggles, I mean to be fair none of these bases seemed to be friendly or new player friendly, they all seem like a nice place to sleep and then go back to work. But the thing is from these bases Elreana Fayn seems 100% done until a new biome is released or something new to kill is added. No complaints here. I know I am a bigot because every time I see a female, especially a beautiful female my brain is like no way, you never did all that stuff. However when see says hard to kill I have to scratch my head, because I've seen people kill everything on the first try. Oh, wait, why do I think it is the first try? I guess maybe I should watch more streams, but again someone may have completed the game on an alt or played offline to level up etc... I guess maybe I'm also an idiot. I mean if you did all those bases and did not do it in god mode then I salute you, well done. If however, you are just the hot spokesmodel I still salute you because you are perfect at that as well. Cheers. Now if I would just get back to killing things I could get my first attempt at the swamp boss, but my swamp ran out of crypts and finding a new good spot has been a pain, I believe I have tried three separate areas that are all empty. Yes, yes, I do know about the map thing and I could use that even more but I think maybe I did that too much already. Again nice bases but I saw now wolf breeder or boar breeder or Lux breeder :)

The wood iron beams can support wood floors up to six tiles away. They could allow the cliff base to be bigger.

Instead of sprint jumping, plant some pines at a decent distance from the cliff wall and use it as a support for spirally stairs and then a makeshift bridge across to the plateau. Make the stairs out of ladders and no mobs will use them.

I raised the ground and planted on top - trolls hitting solid ground after that (only for the trees - not a big area of it)

@@solosmoke7330 : Odd, I had some Gray dwarves go up a ladder to get me. One wouldn't think they'd climb such skinny things, but...

Careful of the trolls i have seen people do that and a troll destroyed it you gotta build some defenses

Hey :) I used small core wood poles and placed the fire on top, however I don't think it allows you to do it anymore :/ when I've tried since then it won't let me, so I think the devs have stopped it from working

I did that. It's honestly pretty great when you hit the swamp part of the game. Aesthetically though.. Not for me. Too dark all the time.

Hey, It does sway slightly but it isn't really an issue, I haven't actually been in the base when a storm is happening so I'm not actually sure ahah. I used core wood logs for the fire place, but unfortunately it has now been patched and doesn't work :/

@@elreanafayn8542 Gonna make a youtube channel for my gaming stuff and get it on there the moment things have walls.... right now most houses are just layouts with roofs. Some of the main focal points for the harbor area are externally done and so on. The only thing actually finished is a bridge. :D So it needs abit more time.

build around the bigger trees in Swamp or Mistlands - they can't be knocked down (yet)!

Hey :) I did them using console commands, it would have taken me forever to do them without but it still took a few weeks to do them all! all of them are on the same map apart from the alter base, on the map it was next to water so I couldn't build under it and had to do it on a separate world :)

@@elreanafayn8542 hey thanks for the answer, i tried that too, but as it goes deeper into the water i cant raise it past a certain threshold, its like i can only raise so far from the ground. maybe they cahnged terrain so you can only raise a fixed distance over the original terrain? anyways, looking forward to that video :). great job on this vid btw, really creative bases.

@@user-xo2og8kv1o ooo now that you've mentioned it, I had a similar issue with the one in the video, where for some reason one of the sides wouldn't go to the same level as the rest of it. Maybe there is a limit then on how far you can build

@@elreanafayn8542 Oh, that's a shame. I wanted to try out what you did because it looks so cool. When I first tried making a tree house, I couldn't get a fire as high because the ground's height limit is rather short. Also, a pillar of mud doesn't look pretty.

Hey! When I was getting the footage for this video, you used to be able to put core logs down and place the fires on top, unfortunately they patched it not long after :/

Hey, I did these with cheats, but you should be able to do them all without using cheats, it's just an awful lot quicker to do them with :) you will just need a boat and an awful lot of stone to do the sea one

Core wood used to work but I think the devs patched it.

Hey yes it is, that's why I built defences around the base, you can also plant the pine trees in the meadows where it might be a bit safer ahaha there's also trees in the swamp that can't be knocked down if that helps :)

Haha yeah, I built the fence so trolls wouldn't knock it down whilst I was building it, it's probably best to either build a trench around it or raise the ground enough so mobs can't get up :)
